Create an Ombre Card

Create an ombre card using two bright and fun colors for a show stopping Wow Card! For this card, I chose Daffodil Delight and Sweet Sorbet. I cut out the third largest Deckled Rectangle. Using a blending Brush I started with Daffodil delight at the top and Sweet Sorbet at the bottom coming to the middle and blending with the Daffodil Delight. Then I flicked water all over the card stock to add some fun texture.

I stamped the flower and leaves outlines in Memento Black ink for a dramatic look and then stamped Sweet Sorbert, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green on the images. I cut out some of the intricate outlines of flowers with Basic White card stock to create a nice contrast to the ombre background.

For the scalloped layer, I cut off the corners of the smaller frame die and then adhered them with liquid glue to the back of the Deckled Rectangle die.

To add some texture, I used the “Star” embossing folder from the 3D Basics Embossing Folders. I colored the Black & White Gingham ribbon with a Light Sweet Sorbet Blends Marker and tied a triple bow to add to the card.
