Heart Box

I hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine’s day yesterday! Even though Valentines was yesterday, I thought I would share this fantastic Valentine’s project with you. It’s a Heart box made with Stampin’ Up!’s new chipboard heart book. I covered two hearts with Chocolate Chip DSP and then made 2 1-1/2 wide strips of pretty in pink to create the sides. One is 11″ long and then other is 12″.

I scored both strips at 1/2″ and then cut every 1/2″ or so so that I could create the bends in the top of the heart. I created a tab at the ends of the 12″ strip to join the two strips together. I used sticky strip to adhere everything to the heart.
Then I cut out a heart to place inside to cover up the tabs. To decorate the top, I punched out some flowers and added some buttons, felt flowers and an epoxy brad for the centers. I used the large oval punch to create the leaves and tied some ribbon to connect the hearts together.
