How to Make a Side Flap Card

Create a slide flap card with the Happiness Abounds stamp set and Blossoming Happiness Dies which are part of the Hues of Happiness Suite. Start with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Melon Mambo or Gorgeous Grape card stock. Adhere a 2-1/2″ x 1″ scored at 1-1/4″ to the left side of the card with the folded edge lined up along the card base edge. Then adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. Cut a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Melon Mambo or Gorgeous Grape card stock and add the front part of the flap behind a 3″ x 5″ piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.

Stamp flowers and leaves using Staz on ink and Shimmery White card stock. Use Water Painter and ink refills to water color the flowers and leaves. Make sure to check out my video tutorial to learn the technique I use to watercolor.

Stamp sentiment on the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Rectangle Dies and adhere inside the card. Then, stamp “friend” on third largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Rectangle Dies and adhere with dimensionals on the front of the card. Adhere the flowers and leaves with dimensionals.
