How to Make a Top Flap Card

Create a top flap card with the Happiness Abounds stamp set and Blossoming Happiness Dies which are part of the Hues of Happiness Suite. Start with a regular hot dog style 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock, but turn it upside down. Adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to the front.

Cut a 4-1/4″ x 3″ flap scored at 1/2″ for the top flap. Cut the bottom using the Basic Borders dies and adhere to the top of the card.

Stamp flowers and leaves, cut out and then use sponge daubers to lightly swirl the color on the flowers and leaves. Then stamp the flowers on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White for the inside. Create masks for the flowers and then stamp the leaves. Remove the masks and again use sponge daubers to color. Adhere the flowers and leaves with dimensionals to the front of the card.

And finally, add some magnets to the flap to hold it down. I get the Basic Grey magnets that I find on Amazon. Here is a link, but just bear in mind that the link may change over time with different sellers selling out. So the best way is to search for “basic grey magnets.”
