Boating Hippo Card
Instead of floating, now I made a boating hippo that travels the seas…or small lake. I started with the Rays of Light stamp set and my Stamparatus to create the background. Then I used the scallop die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the waves. I cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pool Party into three sections.
I attached the first two sections together and then put foam adhesive strips on the back. Next, I attached the third piece to the card. Then I took a 5-1/2″ x 1/2″ strip of Thick Basic White and a 1-1/2″ x 1/2″ piece of Window Sheet and attached them to create a “pull” for the boat.
Next I adhered the boat to the hippo and then to the window sheet with a dimensional. Then I placed the pull behind the two waves and adhered them to the card. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with my go to labels – Stylish Shapes Dies. For some sparkle of the sun shining off the water, I added some wink of stella to the tops of the waves.
