Gatefold Slider Card
Create a lovely Gatefold Slider card with the NEW Online Exclusive – Happy Hibiscus bundle. This special bundle includes a hybrid embossing folder that you can place a die into so that the embossing folder will cut and emboss at the same time!
Use the largest rectangle from the Deckled Rectangles dies to cut out a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock. Cut the paper in half and then emboss with the Happy Hibiscus hybrid embossing folder. Adhere to a Summer Splash gatefold card base scored at 2-1/8″ from each side.
Cut out the second largest circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies and add a little water color background with a Water Painter and Summer Splash ink. Fussy cut two sets of the trio of plumerias from the embossed white card stock. Use a sponge dauber with Pretty in Pink ink to color the centers of the plumerias and adhere the plumerias to the circle with dimensionals.
Stamp the leaves in Summer Splash ink and cut out with dies. Stamp the sentiment in Summer Splash and cut out with the long label from the Changing Leaves dies.
To create the slider, start with three 2″ x 1″ pieces of Basic White card stock. Fold two of them in half. Draw a line down the middle of the back of the circle and then adhere the two folded pieces side by side on the line towards the middle of the circle. Adhere the third piece overtop the first two to create a strong backing.
Tuck the card edges in the sliders and test to see how the circle slides. And there you go! A fun gatefold slider card! I hope that you try making one. If you do create one, please share a picture of it here in the FB Sweet Stampers Community group!
