Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the year of the Ox. To celebrate I made some paper lanterns. They are super easy to make and fun to decorate with! I used real red textured cardstock for the first one. I stamped some images from the Eastern Influence stamp set in basic gray randomly on the paper.
For this paper lantern, I used the Candy Lane DSP. To make one of these lanterns start with a 6×9 piece of cardstock or dsp. Score it at 1/2″, 3″, and 5 1/2″ with the 6″ side across the top.
Fold in half and then open. Fold the back ends at the score lines and adhere down.
Use paper cutter to cut lines from the top border to the bottom border every 3/4″.
Curve ends around and adhere together using sticky strip.
Cut a handle 7″ x 3/4″ and adhere to sides with brads.
These cute boxes are perfect for tucking some Ghirardelli chocolates into and giving away as gifts! I used the Deck the Halls DSP and Bells & Bough stamp set to make these boxes. Here is the tutorial that I used to make them. The Holiday Mini Catalog ends January 3rd, so don’t miss out on…

I was inspired by Shelli Gardner’s project from one of her Workshop of a Lifetime Make-n-Takes and modified it to create these 3×3 cards and made a cute scalloped box to put them in. I used the Style Beautiful stamp set for the cards. For the cards, I started by embossing the large stamp image…
I’ve seen quite a few of these boxes in a bag and finally got the chance to try one. It was quick and fun to put together. The directions can be found here. I used some Riding Hood Red DSP and some pink pirouette for the base. I stamped the pink pirouette in riding hood…
