Partial Die-Cutting Technique

🌸✨ Create a Wow-Worthy Card with Partial Die-Cutting! ✨🌸

Looking for a fresh and fun way to use your dies? Let’s take things up a notch with this eye-catching partial die-cutting technique—a simple trick that gives your card that “how did they do that?!” look. 💫

For this project, I used the Thankful Garden Bundle, and trust me—you’re going to fall in love with that big, beautiful hydrangea. Here’s how to create this stunning effect:

👉 Start with a Basic White Thick card base and stamp the large hydrangea image on the front.
👉 Next, place the coordinating die over the image, but here’s the magic—position your top cutting plate only halfwayover the hydrangea. Run it through your machine, and it’ll only cut halfway through!
👉 Then, grab your Stampin’ Trimmer and cut vertical lines above and below the hydrangea to release the sides. And just like that—you’ve got a partial die-cut card that opens up to reveal a gorgeous surprise inside!

For an extra pop, I added a piece of Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper from the Lovely Garden Suite to the inside of the card. The contrast makes the hydrangea really stand out! 💜 Finish with a stamped sentiment and matching die cut, and you’ve got a card that’s as heartfelt as it is beautiful.
