Shimmery Snowflake Card Magic

There’s nothing like a touch of shimmer to bring winter crafting to life, and this week’s project does exactly that! I created this Shimmery Snowflake Card using Stampin’ Up!’s gorgeous Elegant Pines Snowflakes Suite, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite seasonal designs.

To build the frosty background, I blended Secret Sea, Pretty Peacock, and Old Olive ink with my blending brushes until the colors melted into one another. A few flicks of water and a splatter of Wink of Stella added the perfect shimmer — soft, sparkly, and full of winter charm.

Next came the stars of the show: the snowflakes! I cut out multiple pieces, layered and adhered them together, then brushed each one with more Wink of Stella for a subtle yet magical sparkle. The sentiment was heat-embossed in white on Secret Sea cardstock, adding a crisp finishing touch that really pops against the blended background.

This card is perfect for holiday greetings, winter birthdays, or simply sending a little sparkle someone’s way. If you haven’t played with this suite yet, you’re going to fall in love with its elegance and versatility!
