Special Delivery Paper Pumpkin Alternative: Envelope “Thanks” Card

I love stretching my supplies—and this alternative card is the perfect example of why I never throw anything away from a kit! Today I’m sharing a “thanks” card I created using Stampin’ Up!’s Special Delivery Paper Pumpkin kit, and the fun twist is that I used all three envelopes from the kit to make it.

Yes… the envelopes! 💌✨

The patterned envelopes in this kit were just too pretty to toss or use only for mailing, so I cut them apart and turned them into layered designer paper elements. By mixing the soft plaid and subtle grid patterns together, I was able to create a beautiful layered background that feels coordinated and polished.

The soft blue tones paired with the delicate florals create such a sweet, classic look. I layered the flowers and leaves (from the Lovely Arrangements dies) for dimension and added a scalloped label from the kit with a gold foil element to really make the “thanks” stand out. A few sparkly embellishments finished it off perfectly.

What I love most about this alternative is how it shows that you don’t need extra products to create something special. Sometimes the magic is already in your kit—you just need to look at it differently!

Using envelopes as patterned paper is one of my favorite ways to:

• Stretch your kit supplies
• Create coordinating layers
• Add subtle pattern without overwhelming your design
• Make your kit go even further

If you have the Special Delivery kit (or any Paper Pumpkin kit!), take a second look at those envelopes. They can become card fronts, layers, die-cut pieces, strips, or even tags. It’s such a fun way to get more value out of your kit.
