How to Make a Surprise Pop Out Butterfly Card
Create a surprise pop out butterfly card with the Best Butterflies stamp set and Build a Butterfly Dies which are part of the Butterfly Kisses Suite. Start with a 7-1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia card stock scored at 3-1/2″ and then 1/2″ along the long sides. Trim the tab off the long side and adhere the short tabs to the back.
Then use a 5″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White to create the pop out. Use the Basic Borders Dies to create a cloud line template. Blend color in Balmy Blue with a Blending Brush and the template. Color the grass with Parakeet Party. Stamp the butterfly wings and adhere the butterfly body to the wings. Add mini dimensionals on each side of the body of the butterfly. Score or fold the card stock in half and adhere the butterfly to the middle.
Surprise Pop Out
To create the surprise pop out, score a 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of scrap card stock starting at 1/2″ every 1/8″ until 1/2″ from the other side. Adhere the 1/2″ tab to the fold of the pop out element. Put adhesive on the other side and slide pop out element into the pocket and when the 2-1/8″ piece lines up with the edge, then adhere the other side to the inside of the pocket. Attach half of a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies and a pull.
Add some die cut butterflies and fun flowers embellishments to the front of the pocket. Adhere pocket to card base. Enjoy opening the pop out butterfly!
