Sweeten Up Your Cards with an Offset Gatefold Card

Who says summer cards can’t be as sweet as strawberries? 🍓 I had a blast creating this fun offset gatefold card using elements from Stampin’ Up!’s Sweeter With You Paper Pumpkin kit! The fresh, fruity vibes of this kit made it perfect for a bright, cheery hello card — and I just had to feature those adorable strawberries front and center.

What makes this card even more special is the offset gatefold design — it adds a fun twist and gives your handmade card a bit of unexpected flair! This simple fold is surprisingly easy to make and creates such a fun presentation for your recipient. Just start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/5″ piece of Poppy Parade card stock and score at 3″ and 7-1/4″. Add a 2-3/4 x 5-1/5 and a 1″ x 5-1/4 strip of the polka dot card from the kit to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card, add two strips of 1/4″ x 5-1/4 of the leftover piece of polka dot card to a 4″ x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White. Now that’s turning leftovers into wow-factors! Stamp the sentiment in Garden Green and the flowers in Poppy Parade ink and adhere to the inside of the card.
