Traditional Christmas Card

There’s something so special about a traditional Christmas card—especially one you create by hand! ✨

For this project, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Traditional Christmas Suite, which is filled with timeless holiday colors, elegant florals, and festive patterns. The details in this suite make it easy to create something truly beautiful for the holiday season.

To make this card, I started by cutting the floral image directly from the Traditional Christmas Designer Series Paper using the Traditional Labels Dies. It’s such a fun way to use the DSP and instantly adds a gorgeous, detailed focal point to your card.

I layered the floral piece over a softly stamped background for added dimension and tucked in a leafy die cut for extra texture. The “Merry Wishes” sentiment brings everything together perfectly—warm, festive, and classic.

To finish, I added a few red glitter embellishments for sparkle and mounted the card front on a soft blue base to make the colors pop.

This design is a great choice if you want a card that feels traditional and elegant, yet easy to recreate for the holidays.

Here are two more Pool Party Christmas cards I created using the Traditional Christmas Suite! 💙

The first card is a little fancy — it’s the one we made at my last team meeting. I started by heat embossing the main image in gold, then used coordinating stamps to fill in the flowers and leaves, lining them up for a beautifully layered effect. The gold embossing really makes the design shine! ✨

The second card is a simpler version that came together with leftover pieces from my recent YouTube LIVE. I stamped the main image in Memento Black ink, then added color with Pool Party, Real Red, and Old Olive inks for the flowers, bow, and greenery. To bring in some extra elegance, I heat embossed the leaves with gold embossing powder.

Since the floral bouquet is a little too wide for the “Christmas” sentiment to fit neatly on the label, I stamped the word separately in Old Olive on Basic White cardstock, fussy cut it, and popped it up with Dimensionals for added depth.
