Watercolored Butterflies Card

Here is an easy way to create this watercolored butterflies card with the Sketched Butterflies stamp set and die bundle. Stamp a butterfly in a lighter ink like Pretty in Pink and then roll the edges of the butterfly in a darker ink like Moody Mauve. This is called the rock-n-roll technique. Then spray the stamp a couple of times with a Water Spritzer so that the ink slightly bubbles on the stamp. Stamp on Watercolor Paper and watch the inks spread and blend with each other! Repeat for each butterfly and then use the Sketched Butterflies dies to cut out the butterflies.

To create the watercolor wash background, use the largest Water Painter and use it to brush some water on the Watercolor Paper. Then add a little Pretty in Pink ink and let the ink spread in the water. Add more ink to get the hue/darkness that you desire. After the Watercolor Paper mostly dries, use the Water Painter to splatter some Pretty in Pink all over the Watercolor Paper.

Add some In Color Opaque Moody Mauve dots and some Pink pearls from the Blooming Pearls embellishments. Cut a few of the little butterflies from the dies and use glue dots to add them on top of the watercolored butterflies.
