Watercolored Valentine’s Card
One of my favorite parts of team meetings is swapping handmade cards—and this one was especially fun to create! For our latest swap, the theme was watercoloring, so I leaned right into soft blends, splatter, and layers to create this Valentine card using Stampin’ Up!’s Made with Love Suite.
The watercolored background sets the tone with gentle washes of color and playful splatters, giving the card a soft, artsy feel while still keeping it bold and eye-catching. I love how watercoloring adds so much interest and texture without needing a lot of extra layers.
The layered hearts and arrow bring in that classic Valentine vibe, while the pops of red and subtle embellishments keep everything cohesive and polished. This suite makes it easy to mix sweet details with clean design, which is perfect for swaps—you want something special, but not overly complicated.
This card was such a joy to make and share with my team, and it’s a great reminder of how versatile watercoloring can be. Whether you’re creating cards for swaps, Valentine’s Day, or just sending a little love, this technique is always a winner.
