Diamond Flap Fun Fold Card
I love a card that makes you wonder, “How does that open?” 🌻 This Diamond Flap Fun Fold has layers, texture, gorgeous Designer Series Paper, and a few surprises hiding inside!
I created this card with Stampin’ Up!’s Radiant Sunflowers Bundle and coordinating Sunflower Fields Suite. The sunflower on the front was embossed first and then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers, giving the petals beautiful color while allowing the embossed details to really stand out.
But the fun fold is what makes this card extra special!
I added diamond-shaped panels to both the top and bottom of the card. Then I added a Beautifully Celebrated die-cut to the top diamond to create a decorative flap that folds down over the front of the card. Layered over the diamonds is that gorgeous sunflower focal point, along with Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and a little sparkle.
Once the top and bottom diamond flaps are opened, there’s another surprise underneath! The front panel of the card is embossed with the Sunflowers Embossing Folder, which coordinates perfectly with the Sunflower Fields Suite. I love how all that gorgeous raised sunflower detail looks on the cardstock—even before you open the actual card!
Then that embossed panel opens one more time to reveal the inside sentiment:
“Wishing you so much happiness.”
I added a couple of small stamped flowers inside to carry the sunflower theme all the way through the card.
This is one of those cards that is just as much fun to open as it is to look at! Between the diamond flaps, embossed sunflower background, Designer Series Paper, dimensional focal point, and hidden message, there’s something pretty to discover at every step.
