Timeless Floral Layers with the Garden Poetry Suite

There’s something so effortlessly elegant about floral cards—and this one is all about layering, texture, and soft color blending.

For today’s project, I used the Stampin’ Up! Garden Poetry Suite to create this warm and inviting “Thank You” card. This suite is perfect for creating classic floral designs with a fresh, modern feel.

To add interest and dimension, I brought in the circle-patterned die from the Lovely Arrangements Dies—but with a twist! Instead of using it as intended, I cut the die in half and placed each side along the edges of my focal layer to create a scalloped detail. This simple technique adds a unique layered look without extra bulk.

The background was lightly blended with Poppy Parade ink to create a soft wash of color. I then used Poppy Parade Blends markers to splatter ink across the white cardstock, giving it added depth and a slightly artistic, textured feel. It’s a subtle detail, but it really brings the whole card to life.

The floral elements were layered to frame the sentiment, creating an eye-catching design. And that bold pop of red from the card base ties everything together beautifully.

This card is a great example of how small techniques—like ink blending, splattering, and creative die use—can elevate your handmade cards into something truly special.
