Watercoloring with Masks!
Have you tried watercoloring with masks? You can use your masks to create beautiful watercolored backgrounds for your cards this like one using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Wonderful World stamp set and Designer Series Paper.
Start with watercolor paper or shimmery white card stock. I used Shimmery White card stock for my card. I placed the mask on its corner rather than straight to get a different design for my background. Then I used my water painter and some Orchid Oasis ink to color in a portion of the mask. I patted it dry with a paper towel and put the mask in the paper towel to clean it off. Then I flicked ink and water from the Water Painter all over the card to create a splattered look.
For the flowers, I inked them up with the Orchid Oasis and Pear Pizzazz markers and spritzed the stamp with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer. Two to three spritzes should be enough to see the water on the stamp. Then I stamped on Shimmery White card stock twice! The first stamp I get a nice darker image and the second I get a lighter watercolored image. Both look great!
I stamped a sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set and attached the flowers with dimensionals. I love, love, love how it turned out!
