Watercolored Elegance with the Painterly Pears Suite

There’s something so timeless about watercoloring—and when paired with the beautiful images from Stampin’ Up!’s Painterly Pears Suite, the results are simply stunning!

For this card, the pear image is the star of the show! To create the watercolored pears, stamp the pear with Darling Duckling ink, then spritz the stamp with two squirts from the Stampin’ Spritzer, and then stamp on Watercolored Paper. Repeat with Petal Pink ink and then Mossy Meadow ink. The result is a fresh, juicy, yummy pear! Blending the three colors really adds yummy dimension to the pear!

To frame the focal point, brush a rectangle panel of Watercolor Paper with lots of water and then stamp the Stripes in Cloud Cover ink to create a dreamy background. Add a few of the Secret Sea Low-Profile Dots embellishments – so beautiful – and the “Thank You” sentiment to complete the design with a touch of sophistication.

This card is a wonderful example of how watercoloring can elevate your stamping and make each creation truly one-of-a-kind. Whether you’re new to watercolor or a seasoned pro, the Painterly Pears Suite makes it easy to create a watercolored look on all your cards!

For this next design, I kept the same color palette but switched up the layout for a fresh new look. The Everyday Arches Dies create a beautiful focal point, layered over a soft watercolor wash and a lightly stamped background using the Elements of Text Stamp Set. To add extra texture and dimension, the frame is embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, giving the whole card a touch of rustic charm.
