Elegant Floral Layers with Garden Poetry & Eyelet Die
There’s something truly timeless about a beautifully layered floral card—especially when you pair it with rich texture and just the right details to make everything pop. Today’s card is one of those designs that feels both elegant and approachable, and I’m so excited to share it with you!
For this project, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Garden Poetry suite along with the April Product of the Month—the Eyelet Blooms Die to create a card full of dimension, softness, and intricate detail.
💙 Let’s Talk About That Background…
The star of this design (well… one of them 😉) is definitely the background. The Eyelet Blooms Die creates that gorgeous, delicate pattern that instantly elevates the entire card. It adds a subtle lacy texture that feels detailed without being overwhelming.
I paired this with a lovely Blueberry Bushel cardstock base, which really allows the texture to stand out while also giving the card a bold, elegant foundation. I added pieces of the Garden Textures Foil Sheets and Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper.
🌺 Layered Florals That Pop
The floral elements from the Garden Poetry suite bring this card to life. I love how the soft coral tones contrast with the deep blue background—it’s such a striking combination!
To make the flowers stand out even more, I added some Blueberry Bushel color and splatter to the Beautifully Celebrated label piece. That hint of ink blending adds just enough depth and softness behind the focal point without distracting from it.
This is one of my favorite tricks:
👉 Add a light ink-blended layer behind your main image to create a subtle glow effect.
✂️ Details That Make the Difference
It’s the little things that really finish a card, and this one is no exception:
- A sentiment strip adds a clean, polished touch
- A few enamel dots bring in balance and a bit of shine
- Layered textures (embossing, die-cutting, and stamping) keep your eye moving across the design
All of these elements work together to create a card that feels thoughtful, dimensional, and special—perfect for letting someone know they’re appreciated.
